For Patients

Your First Visit

At Physical Therapy at Flagstaff Athletic Club, our focus is on one-on-one patient care where you are treated for up to one-hour sessions each visit with a physical therapist.

You will be encouraged to be a partner in your recovery and we include an educational component to ensure that you can take steps to prevent injuries from recurring.

For your first visit, you can expect a thorough examination of the injuries area and a diagnosis. Your treatment options will be discussed with you.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and be aware that your first treatment will likely also take place at this time.

We accept Medicare, workers compensation, and most private insurance plans. Please call us for more detail regarding insurance and fees. Our staff will verify and explain your benefits before treatment.

Working with Dan Chitwood:

Dan has been wonderful to work with during my recovery from rotator cuff surgery. During the early recuperation, his hands-on work was instrumental in my post-surgery comfort. He always seems to know the right level of therapy to provide.

Once I was cleared to begin active physical therapy, Dan worked closely with me to ensure I was progressing as quickly as I could - but not pushing so hard as to set me back.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Dan. His sense of humor and willingness to work closely with me to ensure a rapid, complete recovery were extremely helpful to me.

Dan is a true professional in his manner and his technique. He not only knows what he is doing in the field of physical therapy and massage, but asks for constant feedback from his patients. This helps him to be much more effective and ultimately helps the patient more than if there was not constant communication. I had complete confidence in Dan's methods and procedures and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a professional physical therapist and /or massage therapist.
